Face care requires special attention. Teenage skin can suffer from acne disease, older skin have wrinkles. That’s why you should take care of your face not only when there are some problems, but as an everyday preventive measure. Face care consists of following stages: cleaning (peeling), moistening, toning and nourishment. Every person has its own skin type, and use of all these stages depends on this skin type. Moisture and natural skin oil determine skin type: normal, dry, oily and combined.
Normal skin
Normal skin is characteristic for young people. Good blood supply, normal level of moisture and oil make skin elastic. It doesn’t peel and it is easy to keep it clean and fresh. Normal skin has scarcely visible pores, there are no black dots or red stains. Later normal skin becomes dry due to ageing. That’s why if you have normal skin, try to save it as long as possible. Usually with aging processes are visible only after 30.
Oily skin
Oily skin has oily glitter, because of excess skin fat. It is especially visible in the area of forehead, nose and chin. Usually these areas have enlarged pores and black dots. It is easy to determine, if you have an oily skin. Put a flimsy on your face after washing. If there will be stains, you skin is oily. There are a lot of different reasons of excess oiling: unhealthy nutrition, excess weight, excessive sweating, imbalances in endocrine glands work. Special is just necessary, or you’ll have problems in everyday life. But the plus is that due to large layer of skin fat, wrinkles appear only in 45 years.
Dry skin
Main characteristic of dry skin is slow work of sebaceous glands. The skin looks dry and smooth, but you feel some kind of stretching. Young people as well as old ones, because of aging, can have such skin type. It is easy to define dry skin: if you press it with a finger, a red stain will remain for a long time. Skin doesn’t have protective pellicle and loses moisture. It can be easily damaged by sun, dry wind, temperature drops. That’s why needs additional moistening, otherwise wrinkles will appear very soon..
Combined skin
Combined skin is a result of wrong face care. Usually skin on cheeks and around eyes is dry. The rest of the face (forehead, nose, chin) is oily. That’s why, needs preparations for dry as well as for oily skin.
Now it’s time to tell about the procedures, necessary for face care.
Peeling
Peeling is a procedure of skin cleaning, due to which the upper old skin layer is removed and the skin is renewed. Peeling is effectively used for skin rejuvenation, small wrinkles removal. Cosmetology distinguishes two kinds of peeling – mechanical and chemical.
Remember - it is important not only to choose a correct method, but also to use it correctly. All your moves should follow the massage lines - from the middle of the forehead and nose to temples, from chin to ears.
Mechanical peeling

You can use mechanical peeling at home with a help of special scrubs and gomages.
Scrub is a cream with abrasives (small parts, for example, milled coconut or almond stones) to peel off the dead skin layer. These parts can be big, which is appropriate for oily skin. The use f abrasives for dry skin should be as little as possible, because it is more sensitive. Otherwise scrub will cause irritation. People with oily skin are not recommended to use scrub more often then twice a week. Dry skin is very sensitive, so scrub should be used once in two weeks. If you have any spots or acne, you should choose another way of taking care. Scrub scratches the skin and infection is easily spread.
Gomage is a softer procedure. It doesn’t consist small parts, its work is based on incrustation after drying. Then it is carefully rolled with fingers, gomage is removed together with peeled skin. Gomage is good for people with extremely sensitive skin.
Brosage is another type of mechanical peeling. Skin is cleaned with a help of rolling brushes. Make up should be removed. Brosage not only removes the dead layer of the skin, but also stimulates blood circulation.
Ultrasonic peeling is based on the use of ultrasonic waves on moistened skin. It is absolutely painless and harmless. The advantage of this peeling is that the dead skin layer is peeled off without damaging young cells. Ultrasonic peeling stimulates blood circulation too.
Laser peeling is done only professionally in cosmetic clinics. Laser burns the upper layer of skin, anesthetization is used. The advantage of this method is a possibility to remove not only the smallest wrinkles, laser can reach even such areas as skin around the eyes. Laser peeling is effective for scar removal (consequences of acne). But after laser peeling your skin will need a month for full recovery. Deep laser peeling causes not only dead cells removal, but also blood clotting in rejuvenated skin. If you use a surface laser peeling, recovery period will reduce to few days.
Chemical peeling

Chemical peeling is an effective way of face care. It is based on the use of different acids. According to the depth of skin penetration cosmetologists define surface, middle and deep chemical peeling.
Surface peeling is made with a help of fruit, glycolic acids.
Peeling with fruit acids (so-called, enzyme) is recommended as a prevention of ageing. If you have serious problems, enzyme peeling can be used in a complex with other procedures. Peeling is very soft, skin looks healthy after it. Notice that if you have dry skin, you should use as little chemical procedures as possible. Some chemical components can cause allergic reaction, because your skin is extremely sensitive.
Glycolic peeling is effective for removal of small wrinkles, consequences of acne. Two weeks before the procedure, the skin is treated with weak solution of glycol acid. In the clinic the skin is also treated with weak solution and only then with glycol gel. Skin can burn a little. After few minutes gel is removed with neutralizing solution. Skin may redden a little, but in few days it will be normal. After glycol peeling you should necessarily use moistening creams.
Middle peeling penetrates in deeper skin layers. Yellow and TCA-peelings refer to middle ones.
Yellow peeling, as well as glycol one, has a two-week preparation period. The procedure consists of yellow mask application. It burns more then surface peeling. The skin will be reddened for 2 days, then old cells begin to peel off and the skin becomes fresher. Yellow peeling is used for small wrinkles removal. But it also smoothes deeper mimic wrinkles.
TCA-peeling uses trichloracetic acid, it is more aggressive. It is applied on the skin till the white pellicle appeares. You face may stay red up to two weeks after this procedure. But as a result, you’ll get rid of many wrinkles and your skin will be more elastic.
Phenol is used for deep peeling. This procedure can be made only by specialists, because it is painful and can be dangerous, if it is not correct. Recovery period lasts from 3 to 6 months. Deep peeling is recommended only for elderly people.
If you are under 50, it is recommended to use middle or surface peeling.
After cleaning, your skin will need following procedures.
Toning
Peeling cream remains are removed with a help of tonic. It cleans and decreases pores, renews the acid-base balance. Tonic can be also used to remove make-up. If you have an oily or normal skin, then the use of tonic can be enough for your skin. And if your skin is dry, you should use moistening cream.
Skin moistening
Skin needs moistening. Creams include nutrient, moistening and softening components. Moistening cream should always be put before the make-up. It helps to maintain moisture and skin becomes softer.
Skin nourishment

Night cream is recommended for skin nourishment. It is especially useful for ageing skin, because all the processes are slowed down. That’s why night cream is necessary, so that the skin will get all the nutrients from blood. Night cream as well as day cream should be applied only on cleaned skin.
All cosmetic substances should be chosen due to cosmetologists recommendations. Every organism is special and needs special care. Even people with the same skin type don’t always use the same substances. So you should also listen to your personal feelings. Anyway, you should always choose a substance that has milder renewing effect. It means that you should use radical measures only in extreme cases. For daily care tonic and moistening cream will be enough. And only once in one-two weeks use scrub or gomage.
Then your skin will always look fresh and young!
